Wedding costs
We charge €98 (£82) a head for the day of the wedding, which includes canapes before or after the service, the wedding breakfast, wedding cake and evening finger food. It also includes hire of the chateau for a blessing and reception, use of the grounds, parking, marquee, blessing area and drinks pagodas, the services of a wedding planner and assistant, waitresses and servers, all crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen napkins and table cloths. It does not include drinks, flowers or the celebrant. Chairs are also extra as everyone wants something different (allow 2 - 17 euro each). This package is suitable for up to 90 guests.
Babies in high chairs are free. Other children under 14 are 80 euro a head.
We have a silver package for 18-20 guests who are all staying at Le Castel - see below.
Reception
We offer traditional wedding breakfasts, cocktail party style receptions, hog roasts or even a picnic on the lawn with individual wicker baskets.
Accommodation
There is a minium three night hire period for accommodation at Le Castel for a wedding. We can sleep up to 20 people at Le Castel. There are six ensuite rooms in the main house and a further three bedrooms in cottages in the grounds. Costs around 65 euro a night per person for B&B. Minimum 12 people. Other hotels are ten minutes away.
The Blessing
Generally couples at Le Castel have a low key legal service in the UK and then have a spectacular blessing in the grounds of Le Castel.
There are three options for the celebrant:

Table decorations, flowers, music, hairdresser, fireworks, balloons etc – upon request.
Other Extras – take a champagne balloon flight over Mont St Michel; let Thai lanterns rise off into the night, go bungy jumping
Le Castel silver blessing package.
Most people want to splash out for their wedding, but in these tough times we have come up with an all-inclusive food, drink and accommodation package for those on tighter budgets. It is for a minimum of 18 guests who will all be accommodated at Le Castel. Maximum is around 20 guests.
Three nights all inclusive accommodation at Le Castel for 395 euro per person. This includes ALL drinks and food throughout the stay. Miniumum of 18 people in the chateau and cottages.
The only additional charge is a 1,200 euro hire fee to cover staff costs, some flowers, cutlery, crockery, glassware, linen and chairs. This hire charge includes the celebrant, who usually charges 200 euro for a military charity.
Here's how it would work:
Thursday - guests arrive.
Sparkling wine toast when everyone is here
Evening - A curry buffet with three or four curries, rice, chutneys etc

Drinks on the terrace before the service
Wedding
Sparkling wine toast
Hot and cold buffet with salads and traditional French wedding cake of profiteroles in or around the marquee. Table set up can be as formal or informal as you like.
Finger food in the evening
Saturday
Brunch (or breakfast for those with smaller hangovers)
Early evening picnic on a deserted beach.
Sunday
Breakfast and good byes.
Included in the unlimited drinks over the three days will be beer, house white and red wine, sparkling wine for two toasts on the wedding day, soft drinks, water, tea and coffee. Spirits can be bought from the bar.
There is no charge for children still in high chairs. Other children under 14 are €340 a head
The silver package includes white plastic chairs in the blessing area. The
chair covers you may have seen in some photos have to be hired from an outside
company and are 12 euro each plus vat plus delivery (they are lovely though!).
The silver package includes chairs with burgunday covers for the wedding
reception. Others can be hired at additional cost
The silver package does not include the silk lining for the marquee.
